I've added a banner update in the first post, and there might be some other thing i will change about the design...
My head... oh, my head... feels like the time I was initiated into the Silly Buggers Society at Cambridge. I misheard the rules and tried to push a whole aubergine up my earhole.

So, from what I gather, this new site is going to be something like Metal Archives.

Now, here's the question I have: what will this site have that Metal Archives doesn't?

If you need another review person, I can do some.

It won't be anything like MA,
Of course as mosts sites we will have a news section (updated daily),
there will be room for reviews written by the mmfe members,
we will promote unsigned bands and offer promo stuff from record labels,
i'm also thinking about divinding the website based on geography, so there will be a belgian part, a dutch part, an american part...
for each part we will try to keep track of concerts in that country and write reviews about them, including a picture gallery.

i'm not sure how the separation will go, i'm thinking about making the website bilangual, dutch and english...

anyway, i think we have some good things to offer so we won't be just another MA rip off...

I thought of something we could add...

I frequent the www.ultimate-guitar.com forums, and they added user profiles to their website a while ago. Basically, Ultimate Guitar, besides being a site for tabs and music forums, now also doubles as a Myspace for guitarists/bassists.

So, if we have the ability, maybe we could implement a social networking feature, kinda like Myspace or Facebook for metal fans.

That's a very nice idea, but keep in mind, that a good social networking system involves a shitload of coding and bandwidth... Sad

news posts will be added by a team of members with time and dedication... so, i will select a team which will have the possibility to use a system for posting news posts... the reviews on the website will be posted by my, after loke controlled them on this forum... but we are also working on a system for that... we still are deciding which things to include
