Haha, good luck, it's a huge school. I've visited him when I was on vacation there and he gave us the grand tour, it's a very nice campus, I see why he felt compelled to move all the way down there.

don't want to be a pain in the ass, but thin lizzy was cancelled from graspop so you could not have seen them. And some bands were playing at the same time, you can't split in 2 right?

My list would be rather unimpressive, since I never really had people to go to good shows. But well, to give it a shot:

65daysofstatic
After Forever
Carnal Leftovers
Delain
Dream Theater
Epica
Heidevolk
Kivemetsan Druidi
Korpiklaani
Mala Vita
Nemesea
Norther
Peter Pan Speedrock
See My Solution
Seraphique
Serj Tankian
Spinvis (3x)
Symphony X
Turisas (2x)
Wolves in the Throne Room

And things I forgot.

And quite many local thingies I can't remember or nobody would know anyway. And also many non-metal things at free festivals.

Hopefully this list will grow a lot after visiting Wacken 2008.
