Amon Amarth - Melbourne 08
Oh yeah, feeling the after effects of Amon Amarths gig last night. It was the manliest of all manly gigs i have ever been to. Holy. Fucking. Balls.
First off, there was some shit band, dunno who they were.... well admittedly they were awesome musically, but the vocalist was less than average.
Then there was psycroptic - first time i've ever heard them / seen them live. And...... wow. Was NOT expecting anything that good - mind you they are Australia so how could i doubt them .... hahaha Technically - superbly tight, crisp riffs, ground shaking drums and brutal vocals. Just a stunning band to see or hear.
And then the musical beast that is Amon Amarth. One of the most enjoyable bands to watch / headbang / scream lyrics to EVER. Just an absolutely powerhouse performance. Needless to say my neck is fucked, and i can barely talk... Walked out with 150 bucks of sexy merch, sore body, throbbing head.... and loving it
As far as i can tell they enjoyed the crowd too. We're nuts down here

I'd love to see them. I probably will if they ever make it back to Montreal again.

I saw them live when they we're opening for Dimmu Borgir. Amazing band and awesome show. They couldn't top Dimmu Borgir, but than again Dimmu was the main-act and AA only the opening band.

I do too. That thing is a monster. 3 DVDS in one, and it has like ALL of their fucking songs on it up til the newest release. I don't think that they left any song off of it, and it was only $16 USD
Re: Amon Amarth - Melbourne 08
Saw them November 28th here in Atlanta
I almost didn't get a ride and didn't have one the night before.......had my ticket and everything but my mom wouldn't even take me and basically said "Too bad"
So I was really pissed but determined to go....I hardly ever miss concerts I want to go to
So I call my friend and ask if he's working the next day (he usually works every day), just so happens he's not....yay!
So I pay him gas money and pay for his ticket and he drives me there and it was AMAZING
One of the best concerts of my life.....my friend doesnt' really like metal either and he loved it
I couldn't get a shirt since I had to pay for my friend but I found the tour shirt in Hot Topic a few weeks later and got it for chritsmas
So glad I went.....glad you had fun too

I wish they would announce the final dates already......I'm seriously getting pissed
My dad has to know which days to take off.......idk if I'm going to Virginia or the rumored Tampa
I'm in Atlanta but I'm definitely going......they need to hurry up with the dates
This will be the best tour ever though
