Lol, that's cool
You can carry it out to the front porch, get a banjo, and play outsider bluegrass...
Re: My News of the Day
Wow people must not have any interesting news anymore...
As for me, I could of finally seen Beneath the Massacre doing a headlining show but of course, I got sick the day of the concert and had no ride
So that's pretty gay.....gonna go sleep now and hopefully feel better to go to my friends house tonight

Re: My News of the Day
My news: I REALLY wanna fucking buy sleepmakeswaves EP, but Paypal is being the biggest bitch ever.
"This email and credit card number is already in use with a PayPal account. Please log on to your account to continue"
FUCK that. The reason I didn't log in is because I didn't wanna use my goddamned PayPal account. I just wanted to FUCKING buy a goddamned album. But noooooooo....I can't remember my password, and I had them "send me an email" hours ago....but they still haven't sent that shit.
And apparently my address that they have on file is different from my real address, since when they were all like "What is your address....so that we may suck your penis and check to make sure that its really you" it said my address was invalid. Those dumb fucks...its not invalid....I live there.
Goddamn.

Re: My News of the Day
Yea...well no one else has my email address....I know that for sure.
Its my PayPal account....but PayPal has all of these security measures and they changed my shit because someone else tried to hack it
BTW....they still haven't FUCKING sent me that goddamned email with my goddamned password in it.

hmm I checked out sleepmakeswaves before when someone else was talking about them on this board and shrugged it off but I just gave em another shot, realized they had a free download of their first EP and I actually really liked it
I've been looking for more of the ambient stuff like Agalloch/Alcest but havent' really started looking yet...thanks man

Tallant, October's Advent, myself, and several others love that kind of stuff. We can recommend stuff to you bigtime. =]

Yeah it was Tallant...I remember now.....he wanted the sleepmakeswaves logo for a tattoo I think
Yeah I know I always see you guys talking about it but I was never really into it until now
I listened to Alcest and LOVED it......bought the album and they are one of my favorite bands now
Discovered Agalloch about 2 months ago and love them too.......they are probably one of my fav bands now too
I am realizing more and more I'm liking ambient stuff...I like a break from all the metal stuff and like to listen to ambient stuff before I go to sleep
I will start asking you guys about that......any other recommendations? Just downloaded sleepmakeswaves' first EP and it's great. Thanks

Ok I'll check em out thanks
I got it but only listened to it once so far......gotta give it a few more spins
EDIT: Well I only like 2 bands so far but I think I'm officially a Post-Rock/Ambient fan
What album should I get from God Is An Astronaut?
I'm really loving No Return (the song) but it's download only, not on any of their albums

Re: My News of the Day
Far From Refuge is a great release by them.
I just today downloaded their other ones, but I'm assuming that they're all amazing.
I'm glad you're into Post-Rock/Ambient now. Its a good place to be.

Ok I'll get it tonight......I got All is Violent, All is Bright last night and loved it....I really wish I could download No Return without Paypal though
And sleepmakeswaves is great......I listened to their first EP 3 times today and added one of the new songs to my profile
I personally thank you and Tallant and October's Advent (and whoever else) to keep talking about Post-rock/ambient because now I think I love it
Next suggestion?

Re: My News of the Day
Sigur Ros
Go for Hvarf/Heim
Or ()
Yes...thats the name of the album. =P
Also...Olafur Arnalds
I'll send you a link for that one. Its a guy from Iceland that composes Classical type stuff for piano and strings. He adds guitar and drums to a few tracks though. I think you'll like it. You have to listen to the album from start to finish though for the full effect.
